About Turmeric

Latest studies show that whole root turmeric is more beneficial than curcumin extracts as all the other properties of the turmeric root work together and synthesise to provide a greater effect. please read our genuine reviews to see how these capsules have helped.

The turmeric plant (Curcuma longa) is a tuberous plant whose root is put to many different uses. Some of the common names used to refer to the plant include Indian saffron, manjal, arishina, haladi and jayanti. The root is in the same family as ginger, hence has similar properties to the latter. The turmeric plant is native to southern India; in the recent past, cultivation has also moved to southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands. Turmeric has an aromatic flavour, which is one of the main elements explored in its use as a spice. The turmeric plant is seedless and is therefore entirely propagated through human effort i.e. cultivation. After the rhizome is dried and ground into a orange powder. It is believed that this plant species came about as a result of crossbreeding between wild turmeric and another indigenous Indian plant. Wild turmeric was especially popular in China, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka. Presently, turmeric is also widely cultivated in Taiwan, Brazil, Peru, and a couple of parts in Australia and Africa. There are quite a number of narratives on how the word turmeric came to be. Some people believe that the term turmeric originated from the Latin word ‘Terra Merrita’ which translates to divine soil.

Traditionally, turmeric was used to produce dye, which would be used in different ceremonies. The colourful dye was also used to make garments that would only be worn on specific occasions. In the Hindu culture, the groom would tie the rise with a piece of cloth that had been marked with turmeric dye. This signified the ability of the newly-wedded woman to nurture and look after the members of her new home. Turmeric was also quite popular among individuals who intended to boost their fertility and hence sire more children. The powder was also included in numerous Indian meals and beverages. The natives believed that adding turmeric increased the shelf life of their foods and drink. It also added life to their food by giving it flavour and colour.

Bioperine is a bioavailable plant extract obtained from black pepper fruits (Piper nigrum). The extract, which contains about 95% piperine, has a history of use that spans over 20 years. It is classified under what modern-day scientists refer to as bioavailability enhancers. Coupling turmeric with bioperine aids in swifter and more efficient absorption of turmeric into the bloodstream and the body. As a bioavailability enhancer, bioperine plays a key role in making sure the nutrients can cross over the lipid membranes in the gut. A couple of nutrients are only soluble in water and hence have less bio-availability in scenarios where they are expected to be fat-soluble. Bringing together turmeric and bioperine only serves to bring out the best of each herbal extract.

Excellent product

I would definitely buy from you again. I was so impressed on how quick the delivery was. I will need to order more Tumeric capsules. I have sore joints. The pain isn't constant. However, I feel I will need more than a month's supply. I'm new to the Tumeric capsules.
